Where you can measure

Measurement works on the web and in the installable web app on any phone. Capture is the same in each. There is no native app for EPR.

Ways to enter the scale reading

• Type the number next to the photo.
• Read the display with OCR. The reading is cross-checked and a magnitude check catches a misplaced decimal point.
• Connect a scale over Bluetooth LE, USB or serial, or use a scale that types into the field like a keyboard.

Workflow

• Scan a barcode to open the SKU. Instica uses your own catalog and does not look codes up elsewhere.
• Tear down a batch component by component, entering laminate layers where they apply.
• Work offline: readings queue on the device and replay when you reconnect.

Evidence

Each reading keeps its photo and a signed record that can only be appended to. A correction adds a new record, it never overwrites the old one.
