Accounting journals

Download the estimated fee accrual as a manual-journal CSV in the import format of Xero, QuickBooks Online or NetSuite.

What you get

For a reporting period or a saved accrual export, Instica writes one journal file: a debit to the EPR fee expense for each fee line and one credit to the accrued liability. Debits equal credits. Each line memo names the fee file and version it was priced from.

The amounts are estimates for your books. Review the file and map the account numbers to your chart of accounts before you import it.

Download

On the Fees page, use the download buttons beside the accrual export, one per tool. Through the API, call the journal operation with the tool name xero, qbo or netsuite. Optional settings are the expense account, the liability account and the date style.

Downloads need the fees read permission and are written to the audit log. Members whose access is limited to some entities cannot download whole-organization journals.

On a schedule

An outbound file flow of kind accrual journal sends the file to your SFTP server or storage bucket on a schedule, ready for your accounting tool's import job.

Instica measures, estimates and prepares. You review, sign and submit. Nothing here replaces advice from your counsel.
