Short answers about what Instica does, what you do and what nobody can do for you.
Does Instica submit my report?
No. Instica prepares the file. You review it, sign it as a named signer and submit it in the regulator's or scheme's own portal.
Do you store my regulator-portal password?
No. Instica never asks for or stores regulator-portal credentials.
Can Instica tell me my filing will be accepted?
No. Nobody but the regulator or scheme can. Instica estimates obligations, fees and targets from published rules and your data. Questions of interpretation belong with your own counsel.
Are the fees exact?
They are estimates from each jurisdiction's published schedule. Where a rate is not published the fee shows as pending. Private scheme rates come from your own contract or invoice and are labelled customer-supplied.
Do I need to measure every SKU?
No. You can sample a spec family and estimate the rest. Each figure carries a data-quality tier, and the methodology document explains how it was produced.
What does the data-quality tier mean?
Measured means you weighed it. Supplier means a supplier declared it and you confirmed it. Estimated means computed from measured siblings. Declared means you entered it without a measurement.
Do I have to use AI assist?
No. It is a choice at the organization and the user level, and manual entry is complete. A person always confirms proposals.
Do I need Shopify, Amazon or another connector?
No. Every connector has a file import that does the same job. Shopify and Amazon are supported by their own exports.
Does Instica act as my authorised representative or scheme?
No. You appoint your own authorised representative, licence provider or compliance scheme. Instica prepares the registration data they ask for.
What can /verify tell me?
That a fingerprint matches a report version sealed in Instica, whether it is current, and whether the customer signed it. It shows no figures and is not a regulator's approval.
A jurisdiction looks incomplete. Why?
A fact that could not be verified from a primary source is marked pending with the reason. It is not guessed. The jurisdiction guides show the status of each fact.
What does a record cost?
A record is one confirmed weight for one packaging component, so a box, its insert and its tape are three records. Plans include a number of records a year, and the plans page shows the price of extra records.
