Command line
instica-epr runs the common jobs from a terminal or a scheduler: import files, check obligations, prepare a report and download it.
Setup
The command line installs with the Python SDK. Set INSTICA_EPR_API_KEY, or pass --api-key. Add --sandbox to refuse anything but a test key, and --compact to print JSON on one line. Output is JSON, so it pipes into other tools.
Commands
- whoami shows the workspace the key belongs to.
- skus list prints SKUs (--query and --limit narrow it). skus import FILE uploads a SKU CSV.
- volumes import FILE uploads a sales volumes CSV and waits for the import job. --no-wait returns the queued job, --preset and --entity choose the table and legal entity.
- obligations prints the latest obligation results, filtered with --jurisdiction or --status.
- report generate opens a period, runs the checks and seals the report files. report download VERSION_ID saves the file.
- measurements propose sends a measurement for a person to confirm. It is never applied until someone confirms it.
In a scheduler
Commands exit with a non-zero status when the API refuses the request or an import job fails, so cron or a CI job reports it. Uploads carry idempotency keys, so a repeated run does not import a file twice. You review and sign the prepared report yourself; the command line never submits anything.
Instica measures, estimates and prepares. You review, sign and submit. Nothing here replaces advice from your counsel.
